Announcements

Our collectible Museum collection wines are now available on our eshop for the holidays and for as long as the Gerovassiliou Wine Museum remains closed, to give your Christmas table and gifts a lively character.

Following multiple taste trials, Vangelis Gerovassiliou chose oak barrels for the best maturing and sensory characteristics, to create a collectors’ wine with rich aromatic characteristics and a long life.

Museum Collection White
The Museum Collection White is a combination of five white varieties cultivated on the estate: Malagousia, Assyrtiko, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Viognier. It has a bright golden yellow colour and is characterised by the aromas of honey, pineapple, melon, and passion fruit with buttery and nutty hints. Full on the palate, exuberant, with a crisp, long aromatic aftertaste.
Best enjoyed chilled at 10-12 °C.
Food pairing: Fatty fish, molluscs and shellfish, poultry or pork in white sauces, smoked cheeses.

Museum Collection Red
The Museum Collection Red is a combination of five red varieties cultivated on the estate: Limnio, Mavroudi, Mavrotragano, Syrah, and Merlot. It has a bright, deep-purple colour and complex bouquet of ripe dark fruits (wild cherry, gooseberries) as well as smoky and spicy notes, the result of its long interaction with the French oak barrels. Lively on the palate, successfully balancing the well-processed tannins and condensed aroma and giving it a long aftertaste.
Best served at 16-18 °C.
Food pairing: Game, lamb with vegetables, red meat fillets, red and white grilled meats, hard cheeses.
