Nikolas Sevastakis at the Gerovassiliou Wine Museum

20 Μαρ. 2023

On Monday, March 27, 2023, at 7pm, we look forward to welcoming professor of Political Philosophy at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and writer Nikolas Sevastakis for a lecture on:

[old and new conflicts of values in liberal democracies]

How do we coexist in the public space of modern societies? The speed of changes in technologies, the demographic gap that brings different age generations in conflict over rights, responsibilities and values, the disagreements over various moral or social issues, all seem to make it difficult to agree on basic institutions. A critical look at the changes happening around us -especially in Europe but also in our country- helps us to understand the present and to put "in order" some questions that we all share. The peak of the lecture will be the relationship between modern culture and democracy, the link between culture and politics.

The lecture will be held at the cafe of the Wine Museum.

Just before the lecture the Wine Museum will be open from 6-7pm.

The lecture will be in Greek.

Entrance is free.
