Undergraduate and Graduate students participate in this experiment for their BSc thesis. The research involves the investigation of the vine’s water relations with the use of soil moisture sensors and the observation of grapevine’s physiology under water stress. The ultimate purpose is to discover the "critical values" of soil moisture, in order to regulate the water availability at ideal levels for quality grape production but also for maximizing the economics of irrigation water.

The measurements for this year are completed with success and will be repeated in the summer of 2012.
