“The world upside down”, by COPERNICUS theatre group

COPERNICUS theatre group is known to public for the quality children performances. After 4 performances in Athens Concert Hall, it brings the musical theatre performance “The World Upside Down” to Ktima Gerovassiliou.

Written by Angelos Angelou and Emi Sini, twice awarded with Greek Literary Award, using their famous dispositional humor, directed by Guy Stefanou and choreographed by Thanos Daskalopoulos, COPERNICUS theatre group signs once again a unique and spectacular performance for the whole family.

The story
A mis-calculation brings two strange but adorable characters, “naïve” Loudovikos and “know-it-all” Friderikos, among the audience of a children’s musical theatre performance. The two main characters, with their unique temperament, cause a series of gaffes and misunderstandings that gradually lead the action towards an uncontrollable windup. Will the famous Witch Skoupoxilanthi be able to help Friderikos make Loudovikos disappear? What do the cannibals Kama Toumba cook with Bob the Chameleon? Does a whale fit on a theatre stage? And who will dare tell the wild Pirates of Bubblegum that “All is Music”?

The new play by COPERNICUS theatre group, based on the homonymous children’s cd “The World Upside Down” and the unpublished material of the two creators, is on by an impressive team of actors, singers and musicians that masterly combine interactive play, witty, humorous dialogue, and a lot of dancing. Children of all ages get excited and ready to turn… the World Upside Down!
