Ktima Gerovassiliou celebrates European Music Day and welcomes the music performance “Lyric Tsitsanis” in cooperation with School of Music Studies at University of Ioannina, on Friday, June 21, 2019, at 8.30 pm with free entrance.
Voice: Maria Tsakanika, student at School of Music Studies.
Piano: Nikos Ordoulidis, scientific assistant researcher of School of Music Studies.

Tsitsanis is lyrical in the way he writes lyrics: first-person narration, metaphors, allegories, vocabulary full of emotions and thrills, emphatic adjectives and adverbs…
Tsitsanis is lyrical in the way he writes music: an expert and exuberant melodist, spinning musical phrases in a complex way, creating forms with unusual structures, where harmonius tone is set by sweet sorrow.

Nikos Ordoulidis is a pianist that composes music by researching a predominantly lyrical instrument, as registered in the heterotopia of folk music.
Maria Tsakanika is a lyric singer, studying rendition of the opera.

All the above will make another interpretation of Tsitsanis music, in a lyrical way.

The performance will be held at the café of the Wine Museum, at the visitors’ reception area.
Just before the performance, the Wine Museum will be open from 7.30-8.30 pm.
