Important distinctions for Domaine Gerovassiliou
Within the 12th International Wine Competition of Thessaloniki Domaine Gerovassiliou wines conquered important distinctions with a total of 5 Gold and 1 Silver Medals.
Particularly, Malagousia 2011 received the highest marks as white wine produced exclusively from Greek varieties and won a Gold Medal and the equivalent Special Distinction of the Competition.
The same Special Distinction for red wines and a Gold Medal won Avaton 2008, since it received the highest marks for red wine produced exclusively from Greek varieties.
Also, Gold Medals won all the barrel-fermented white wines of the estate, Sauvignon Blanc 2010, Chardonnay 2010 and Viognier 2010, while the red wine Evangelo 2008 won a Silver Medal.
It is worth mentioning that Malagousia 2011 was also awarded with a Special Distinction after receiving the highest marks for a wine produced from vineyards that follow Integrated Management System, a system that the estate applies for many years now.
Within the International Wine Competition “VINALIESINTERNATIONALES 2012”, that took place in Paris under the aegis of the French Oenologists Union, the OIV and the International Oenologists Union, two of the estate’s wines, Chardonnay 2010 and Red 2008, were awarded with Silver Medals.
Lastly, at the International Wine Competition “ChardonnayduMonde”, that took place in Burgundy, the estate’s Chardonnay 2010 was awarded with Silver Medal.
