Mentioning of Domaine Gerovassiliou Avaton 2006 in an article of the New York Times

The article of the New York Times on Greek red wines, by the renowned wine critic Eric Asimov, rewards the constant and persistent efforts of Greek wine producers to penetrate the challenging American wine market. For the first time, the American wine critic refers to Greek red wines and indigenous grape varieties with very flattering comments. He reports that Greek wines are “familiar yet subtly different from other modern reds, with an herbal inflection here, an earthiness there”. Notably, he mentions that Domaine Gerovassiliou Avaton 2006 is “dark and dense with savory fruit aromas and lush texture”.
